The only time when we do require you to submit personal data is when you subscribe to receive notification of new blog posts.
The 2018 GDPR regulations now require us to ensure, when we collect this personal data, that you give us specific permission to send you email notifications via email by checking an acknowledgement box during the completion of your subscription.

Upon subscription to the blog we collect the following information:

We also obtain your IP (Internet Protocol) address via cookies. This information is used for general statistical analysis and helps us understand which of our content is being viewed. In addition we analyze general demographics and statistical data made available by google analytics. This data is not used to enrich profile data for any individual visitor. What do we do with your personal data?
The personal data which you provide us with is NOT transferred to third parties and will NOT be used for promotional or marketing purposes. The single purpose of collecting your personal data is to send you notifications when a new blog post is published.
How do we store data?
Your personal data is stored on the blog webserver in a secure admin area which is only accessible by the blog administrator.
How can a subscriber get a copy of the data we hold on them?
To receive a copy of the personal data we hold on you, email the administrator on using the subject title: Subscriber copy of data: First Name, Surname. We will send you a copy of your data within 72hours.
How to report if the subscriber believes his/her data has been compromised or abused
If you believe your data has been compromised or abused in any way; email using the subject title “Compromised/Abused data”. Within the body of the email give details of how you believe your data has been compromised or abused. We will look into this and report our findings within 72hours of receiving the email.
